(below). The vegan special dish is usually Cajun Crusted Tofu (tofu
marinated in extra virgin olive oil and herbs, pan seared and finished
with a roasted red pepple drizzle). Also have a daily vegetarian dairy
dish, which is usually Hungarian Mushroom Strudel.
Comments: Owned by the same person who owns the Cafe
Bluefish (below)
Directions: Located in the Town Hill area of Bar Harbor,
which is a scenic 10 mintue drive from downtown.

Menu: Has some gourmet dishes such as Cajun Tempeh and Hungarian
Mushroom Strudel. Salads and desserts. Always has an excellent dariy
entree and a vegan entree available. The daily entree changes but is
often a mushroom based strudel and the vegan dish is almost always the
Cajun crusted Tempeh..
Comments: Upscale. The Chef/Own used to run Fig O' My Heart vegetarian
restaurant (which was by the Natural Fooeds Guide as the best veg restaurant
in New England). The owner has a long background in innovative vegetarian
cooking and takes pride and pleasure in offering terrific vegetarian
selections. The food here geyts excellent recomendations.

Brown Rice Salad, Lentil Burger with Green Salad, Tossed Thai Salad,
Grilled veggie Tuna Salad with Coleslaw. Bento box with sesame noodles,
seaweed salad, grilled tofu, tempura and other dishes. Soy gnocchi in
a light, savory sauce with vegetables. Lentil Dahl, Enchilada.
Comments: Mostly uses organic ingredients from the local area
farms. Ocean-view tables. Full bar. Lunch is casual and affordable;
dinner is a slightly more refined atmosphere. Upscale. Good food. Gets
really good reviews. Food is well presented. Got a good review in the
Bar Harbor Times, which can be read on their site.
