Desserts and Drinks: Vegan Carrot Cake with tofu cream cheese, vegan Chocolate Cake, soy ice cream and regular ice cream. Fresh juices, herbal teas.
Comments: Tasteful, contemporary décor. Comfortable, upscale, but casual place. Friendly, efficient service. Voted Atlanta's best vegetarian restaurant. The food is really good and the place is recommended. One of the better places that I have been too. On Saturday night they have buffet night for $14. The place is definitely not cheap. Has friendly, efficient service. Has a children meal. They give cooking classes and have their own cookbook.
Awards and Reviews: Creative Loafing Magazine awarded Sunflower "Best Vegetarian" restaurant in Atlanta in 1998. The Atlanta Magazine awarded Sunflower "Best Place to Take a Vegetarian Meal." They got good reviews in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Southern Comfort, Heart Wise, and Meatless in Atlanta. The reviews can be seen on their Web site.

Comments: Has gotten good reviews in local newspapers. Has seating for 200.Pretty good casual place. Food gets good ratings. The décor is not so nice. Serves food on paper plates. Good place for a quick meal but low on atmosphere. Good value. Popular with Indians.

Natural Food Store and Deli. All vegetarian Supermarket-type store. Produce section only sells organic goods.
Comments: According to a friend of mine (who lives in Atlanta) this is the best natural food store in Atlanta. They sell only vegetarian products (no meat). They have a friendly knowledgeable staff.Can order on line through their web site. Gets much of its organic produce from local Georgia farmers.
Directions: From I-75/I-85 coming north towards downtown Atlanta. Take I-85 North, then take first Exit #88 towards Cheshire Bridge Rd/GA-400, then go on Lenox Rd (becomes Cheshire Bridge Rd NE) and this place is a third-mile down. From I-85 coming southeast into Atlanta, take Cheshire Bridge Rd/Lennox exit. Turn left onto Cheshire Bridge Rd and go past three lights and this place is in Cheshire Square shopping center. Take the train north to the Lindbergh station (N-5). Take any of the following buses: #6, #27, #30, #33, and get off at the first stop past Cheshire Bridge.

Directions: From I-85/I-75 North, you take the Rte 10E/Freedom Parkway exit (#248C) towards International Blvd and follow signs to Jimmy Carter Center taking Freedom Pkwy NE northeast for 1½ mile, take Rte 42 E ramp towards Carter Center and go a half-mile, at North Highland Avenue turn left, and this restaurant is one block down on the right, behind a church. This place is about 2 miles northeast of the junction of I-20 and I-75.

Fully Vegan Soul, Ethiopian and International.
Menu: Serves live salads such as Tofu Salad, Carrot Supreme or Garden Salad. Soups of the day such as Marak Afunah (split-pea soup with garlic), cornbread, side vegetables, BBQ Wheat-Gluten, Sweet Potato Fries, Kale Greens, Garvey Burgers (with mushrooms and onions), Tofu Filet (tofu patty), Barbeque Kalebone and Macaroni & Cheese. There are several types of sandwiches such as Tofu Sandwich, Veggie Gyros, veggie burgers, and Carrot Salad in a Pita Pocket. The Saleem Basket is a choice of mushroom, tofu, cauliflower or kalebone. There is also a Fried Platter, which some people may consider to be a bit undercooked, so you might want to request in advance that it is well-done. The mixture of organic greens is red chard, kale, turnips and mustard. For dessert there is Soy Ice Cream and Shake Bars. You can add a creamy soy cheese sauce to any sandwich. During the Sunday brunch (popular) there are multi-grain pancakes, veggie sausage, scrambled tofu, potatoes and biscuits. The special dinners are around $10, and lunch special around $8. Has Soy Cream Cones.
Comments: Holistic, friendly, casual, family atmosphere. Spiritually based place. Dinners are candle-lit and there is a new menu every night. The food gets high recommendations from many people. Some people may not like the place; at least one reason might be because they use a lot of garlic in the food. The garlic sauce was really too much for me, but many people love it. It is a cool place with really excellent service. Servers are dressed in white. Serves all natural, freshly cooked food, using fresh vegetables. Does not use ingredients that contain preservatives. Has a children's menu. There are two locations in metro-Atlanta. Kalebone is their own wheat gluten protein that they use to make veggie "steaks" and "burgers." Serves mainly fat-free food.

Menu: Has a large menu that includes dosas, Ravi Masala Dosa, rice dishes, sambar soup and tomato soup. The Eggplant Curry is very good. The Mysore Royal Thali is recommended. \
Comments: Gets good recommendations. Inexpensive. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere. Low on décor. Not well located. The food can be quite spicy. Casual place.
