This temple is the headquarters of all the Nimbarka
sampradaya temples. Because it is the Nimbarka sampradaya headquarters,
it is also known as Rani Bali Kunja, Sri Nikunja and Sriji Maharaja
Ki Badi Kunja. The Deity in this temple is named Sri Ananda-Manohara
(Radha Krishna) and Vrindavana-Chandra There is a valuable collection
of ancient hand written scriptures in Sanskrit and Hindi in the library
here. All the printed books of the Nimbarka sampradaya are here. The
Queen of Jaipur built this temple in 1823.
One of the main mantras of this sampradaya is: Radhe
Shyama, Radhe Shyama, Shyama Shyama, Radhe Radhe/ Radhe Krishna, Radhe
Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Radhe Radhe.
Jhulan Yatra (the swing festival) is a big festival
here. You can get a good view of the town of Vrindavana, from the
top of this temple.
How To Get Here This temple is in Retia
Bazaar, near Loi Bazaar. To get to this temple from Loi Bazaar, you
go to the end of Loi Bazaar, near Ganga Prasad cloth shop. At the
T intersection you make a right and walk about 150m (2 minutes). This
temple is on your left.
