Where to Eat in Vrindavan

You can purchase a good selection of maha-prasada in the temple room of the Krishna Balarama Temple after aratis. They have rice, subji, puris, sweets, pakoras and other items. At 4.30 pm (4 pm in the winter) there is a good selection of special cakes at the maha-prasada booth. During festival times you can get special cakes and pies at the maha-prasada booth in the morning around 8 am. The cakes here are excellent and are recommended. The prasada from here is good tasting, a good value and purifying.
There is a booth just to the left of the ISKCON Temple gate that serves pizza and other snacks.
MVT has an excellent A/C restaurant on the top floor with a good restaurant and first-class food. It has good pizza (small Rs 60 and large Rs 100), Indian and Continental food. The pizzas come with various topping such as olives, eggplant and pineapple. There are thalis (Rs 80), spaghetti, baked potatoes with cheese, chow mien, and good salads. There are deserts including great pies and one of the main highlights of the place, a good selection of Baskins and Robbins ice cream. The water served is highly purified and the place is very clean. It is highly recommended, but it is not cheap. It has good, pleasant service and atmosphere. Not to be missed.
ISKCON Guest House has a good selection of reasonably priced items that include a thali for Rs 50. Some items on the menu are fried rice, dhal fried, mixed vegetable, gobhi-alu, chips (French fries) and the cheese (panir) preparation.
You can get cold drinks and many other items across the street from the ISKCON Temple at Biharilals. It is also a good general store. You can also get ice cream at this shop. This place is also a good general store where you can get butter, apple juice and many other items. In front of Biharilals is a street stand that sells very good hot ginger and lemon tea.
There are a few good fruit and vegetable stands across the street from the ISKCON Temple. They are conveniently located, but they usually charge around 25% more than what you pay for the same items downtown. They may also overcharge you and have a problem adding correctly (always in their favor), so it is a good idea to carefully add up the bill yourself.
At the ISKCON temple you can eat temple prasada breakfast (Rs 15) and dinner (Rs 25). Breakfast is at 9 am and dinner is at 4 pm on the Kedia Land. To get to the Kedia Land, you exit out the door in the wall of the enclosure surrounding the temple. This door is behind the temple to the right, if you are facing the main entrance of the temple.
There is a good Dhaba Stand near the Govindaji temple. They serve good dal fry and rotis (Rs 2) and many other items to order. This place is across the street from the road that goes to the 64 Samadhis on the main street (see Gopiswara temple map). It is run by brahmanas connected to the Radha Damodara temple.
