The baked potatoes and some of the salads (side salad & deluxe garden salad) are suitable for vegetarians. The baked potatoes are fairly good and are cheap. Taco chips, applesauce and French fries are vegan. The French, Italian and Reduced Cal Italian dressings are vegetarian. Fat-free French dressing contains honey.

None of the cheeses contain rennet derived from animal products. Sandwich and kaiser buns contain whey. Cottage cheese. The pita bread contains L-cysteine (an amino acid) and enzymes from an unknown source.

The Frosty contains mono- and diglycerides from an unknown source, but don't contain eggs. The Caesar vinaigrette and Italian Caesar dressings contain anchovies. The French fries are normally cooked in their own oil, but if demand is high for them they may be cooked in the same oil that chicken or fish is also cooked in. The potato salad and pasta salad contain eggs. The sour cream seems to be vegetarian (according to their web page) but has many chemicals so it is hard to tell. It may contain gelatin. The bleu cheese, Garden Ranch and reduced fat Hidden Valley Ranch dressings contain eggs. All the sauces normally put on the pita sandwiches are non-vegetarian. The Honey Mustard Nugget Sauce contains eggs.

The Internet is a great resource for getting information about ingredients in fast food joints. Many of the places list the ingredients for all items that they sell. Most of the sites have a nutritional section, which lists a contact email address. I found that by emailing this contact address that I usually got a quick, efficient, detailed response. Often I was sent a full ingredient list within 24 hours. Plus I was able to get a response on questions such as whether listed mono- and diglycerides are derived from a vegetarian source.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please take into consideration that the information in this section is coming from many different sources and therefore some of it may not be correct. Different sources from the same fast food place may give totally different information, so if you are in doubt, it is best to check the information out yourself.

Also I would request representatives from different fast food restaurants that read information here that if something is not correct to please send me the correct information. In this section I am not trying to convince people to not eat at these fast food places, but I am just trying to make it easier for vegetarians and vegans to find a place to eat.

Vegan Fastfood Restaurant Selection - This is a really nice site with a lot of detail. Because the information on their site is not regularly compiled, they may not have some of the information that is on this site.
