Ritudvipa The sixth island embodies the devotional mellow of arcanam or offering worship to the Lord. At the present time this place is called Ratupur. It is located on the north side of Champahatti and the southern side of Sri Koladvipa. Ritu means spring and this place is eternally like springtime dispite the fact that there are five other seasons. Ratupara
(Radha Kunda) How To Get There This place is located a few km from Champahatti, down a side dirt road. You past this place while going from Champahatti to Vidyanagara. It is out in some fields and unless you are with someone who knows where it is located, it will be very difficult to find. Vidyanagar Close to here are Eleven Trees, which according experts, do not belong to any known species of trees. These trees are said to have been created by Lord Caitanya when he planted some pens in the ground. Lord Caitanya would come here and defeat all the disciples
of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya. There is a Gaudiya Math temple here, which
was established by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja. Praudha Maya also resides here. She stays here during all four yugas. She keeps non-devotees from entering this place and influences devotees to come here. In the form of Maha Maya she gives miseries to persons who envy Vaishnavas. If one has offended a Vaishnava she gives him all the troubles of karma. Such person may attain knowledge in Nadia, but they will not receive love of Krishna. They will only attain ignorance in the guise of knowledge. Valmika, by the mercy of Narada Muni composed the Ramayana here and taught it to his disciples, such as Bharadvaja. This is where Lord Brahma produced the four Vedas from his mouth, Visvamitra received the teaching of the Dhanur Veda, Dhanvantari received the Ayur Veda, Saunaka recited the mantras of the Vedas, and Lord Siva discussed tantra. Jaiminu wrote the Karma-mimamsa sastra here, Vedyavyasa wrote the Puranas, Pantajali the Yoga-sutra, Kanabhuk the Vaisesika philosophy, Kapila the Sankhya philosophy and Gautama wrote about logic and argument. Narada Muni wrote the Pancaratra here to teach people about devotional service. How To Get There This place is about 4 km (2½ miles) west of the Navadvipa railway station. It can be reached by bike rickshaw from Navadvipa. Vidya-vacaspati’s
House While Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was staying at Vidya-vacaspati’s house, many hundreds and thousands of people came to see Him and they chanted the holy name of Hari. It was so crowded that people could not even find a place to walk; therefore they made room by clearing out the jungles near the village. Many people also came by boat to see the Lord. So many came that it was difficult for the boatmen to get them across the river. Due to this great crowd, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu secretly went to Kuliya-nagara. How To Get There This place is located
just outside the village of Vidyanagara, about 5 km west of the town
of Navadvipa. To get here you can take a rickshaw from Navadvipa.
