Comments: Run by Hare Krishnas. Uses fruits and vegetables from local Ottawa farms. Very reasonably priced. Peaceful atmosphere. Oldest vegetarian restaurant in Ottawa.

Vegetarian Natural Foods. Excellent Juice Bar. Mainly Vegan and Organic. Emphasizes organic and macrobiotic foods. The pay-by-weight buffet varies daily.
Menu: Buffet has a hot section, large selection of salads, soup and bread. Sandwiches, sea vegetables, Tofu Broccoli Stir-fry, sourdough bread, Tofu Spinach Lasagna, Spinach Quiche, Bamboo Shoot Salad, sea kelp and other dishes. There are a large amount of vegan and vegetarian desserts including trifle and Three-berry Pie. Bakes owe breads without yeast. Fresh juices, organic coffee, herbal teas and chai.
Comments: Food sold by weight buffet style. Has refined sugar-free baked goods (does not use honey) and yeast-free baked goods. Uses maple sugar to sweeten baked goods. Local organic produce used when possible. Reasonably priced. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Gets high ratings. The dishes are labeled vegetarian or vegan, with ingredients listed. Displays local artists' artwork that changes every couple weeks. Popular place. Voted best in Ottawa. All food is organic when possible.

Comments: A double is around $70 a night when I called. Has a large selection of juice combinations. Smoothies, teas, wheatgrass and lassis.
Comments: Pleasant, casual atmosphere. Good service. Has spiritual, health and vegetarian books. Low-fat, non-cholesterol foods. Has a fountain in the dining area. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. Prices are not cheap. The staff dresses in saris. The tables have vases with flowers.
